Frances is the daughter of Samell or Samuel Kelly (born 1792 in Tennessee. (There is record of Samuel Kelly birthdate 1792 being endowed in the Nauvoo Temple in 1846. Frances married Henry Hardy Wilson in 1840 in Nauvoo. Frances and her family were likely converted by Mormon missionaries and had gathered with the saints in Nauvoo by 1840. Frances bore two children, Henry Hardy, Jr. and Ephraim) in Nauvoo. They left Nauvoo in 1846 with the Saints and made their way across Iowa to a temporary Mormon settlement named Garden Grove. They spent the next 4 years in "Little Pidgeon" in Pottawatamie County, Iowa before making the long journey to the Salt Lake Valley. They had settled in Union or "Little Cottonwood" in Salt Lake County by 1853. They subsequently uprooted again and pioneered in "Dixie" - St. George, Washington County.
