Harry Owen Graham, 76, of St. Louis and formerly of Hannibal, died at 12:58 p.m. June 15, 1999, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
Funeral services for Mr. Graham will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Revs. David Hyatt and Walter Reed will officiate. Burial will be at the Center Cemetery.
A memorial service for Mr. Graham will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Christian Church, 623 Meramec Station Road, in Manchester.
Mr. Graham was born June 17, 1922, in Ralls County to Walter B. and Sadie Quincy Graham.
He was married to Mildred Cupp on Oct. 20, 1940, in New London. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Marlan Ray Graham of Manchester; two grandsons, Jeffrey Graham of Webster Groves and Matthew Graham of Manchester; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Charla Beth Graham; one grandson, Jimmy Graham; and one brother, Robert George Graham.
Mr. Graham worked for the Wendt-Sonis Company in Hannibal for 28 years. In February 1969 he founded the Hannibal Carbide Tool Company in Hannibal and he and the late George Herrick were co-owners. Mr. Graham retired in 1981.
The Grahams lived in rural Hannibal for 53 years and had made their home in St. Louis since 1994. He was a longtime active member of the First Christian Church in Hannibal where he was Elder Emeritus. He was a charter member and 50-year member of the Keystone Sunday School Class at the church. He was active in various church divisions as a member and chairman, including the Living Memorial Fund. More recently Mr. Graham was a member of the Community Christian Church in Manchester where he was Elder Emeritus. He was a member of the Ozark Flyfishers, and had been active in 4-H work and the National Angus Association. He was a graduate of New London High School.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Graham Scholarship at Culver-Stockton College.
Pallbearers will be David Haas, Jeffrey Graham, Carl Quicksall, Harold Norman, Phil Livesay and James O. Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Long, Matthew Graham, John Mudd. Albert Link and James Bennor.
