Richard Dean Armentrout, 54, of Kingfisher, Okla., passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at OU Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the First Baptist Church in Kingfisher with the Rev. Tom Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

Rick was born May 28, 1958, in Hays, Kan., to James Armentrout and Bettie Bice.

Rick grew up in Okarche, Okla., where he received his education.

Rick married Tina (Wood) Lodes on June 1, 2002, in Guthrie, Okla.They then made their home in Kingfisher, Okla., where they currently reside.

Rick began his long oilfield career with TOTCO in the early 1980's then moved to Arrow Tank Trucks, Gothic Corporation and was currently employed with Hamm and Phillips in oilfield sales at the Watonga yard.

Rick is survived by his wife, Tina of the home; four children, Ryan Armentrout, Tyler Armentrout and wife Meg of Weatherford, Brian Lodes of Okarche and Taryn (Lodes) Moorman and husband Dustin of Crescent; seven siblings, Kurt Armentrout and wife Joan of Wichita, Kan., Ann Rogers and husband Don of Lebo, Kan., Nancy Clemens and Linda Ludwig of Okarche, Max Armentrout and wife Mary of Newcastle, Barbara Cox and husband David of Okarche and Kim Jindra and husband Tim of Kingfisher; four grandchildren, with one on the way, Hayden Armentrout, Brynlee Armentrout, Braxton Armen-trout and Kynlee Moorman; 11 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, James Jr. and Rex.
