Theodore Vern "Ted" Perkins

"Ted" Perkins a former Humboldt resident, died Friday, December 21, 2001, at Hillside Manor in Missoula, Montana. He was 91 years old.

He was born May 1,1919, in Manes, Missiouri, the son of John and Nancy Sullivan Perkins. He moved to Kansas as a young boy, attended Humboldt High School and graduated in 1928.

He was a member of the Humboldt First Christian Church and and the Odd Fellows of Humboldt.

He married FRANCES BAIR on June 3,1932. They lived in Humboldt, where he worked at various jobs until 1945, when he began work for Monarch Cement Company. He retired in 1975 after 30 years of service.

The couple moved to Misoula in 1981. He was a member of Kings Christian Church and enjoyed time with family and friends, fishing and camping, playing cards and reading.

He is survived by his wife; a son Melvin of Arizona City, Arizona; three grand-daughters; and three great-grand-daughters. A brother, James of Humboldt.

He was prededed in death by his parents and a sister, Pearl Crouch of Iola.
