Ora Lee Ball Metcalf, 95, of 11 Morningside Drive, West Asheville, died Saturday at her home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson and Rosanna Ball and the wife of Tildon J. Metcalf, who died in 1968. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Velva Luther of Asheville, Flossie Prince of Fletcher and Louise Whiteside of New Iberia, Louisiana; two sons, Bill Metcalf of Columbia, South Carolina, and Charles Metcalf of Candler, North Carolina; a brother, Winfred Ball of Desert Hot Springs, California; 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in West Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jesse Head will officiate. Burial will be in Willie B. Metcalf Cemetery, Madison County, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and at other times, will be at the residence.
