Born November 15, 1926 in Centre Twp., Perry County, he was the son of the late James H. and Ruth (Whitekettle) Ettien.
Jimmy and his wife Henrietta (Hennie) were active dairy farmers for the last 50 years. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Markelsville, PA.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Henrietta (Hoffman) Ettien; two daughters, Bonnie Trout and husband Edward of Newport and Cindy Comp and husband Joe of New Bloomfield, and 2 grandsons, Logan and Cody Comp.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Boyer Family Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, New Bloomfield, PA. Rev. Sara Auker will officiate. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 7007 Creek Road, Newport, Pa. 17074.
