Letty May Wilcox

The death of Letty May Wilcox, youngest daughter of Mrs. Clarissa Wilcox, who lives eight miles south of Blair, occurred Tuesday evening, August 26, after a lingering illness of two months.

The deceased was born October 22, 1871 to Mr. and Mrs. Elias Wilcox, her father having preceded her in death 28 years ago. Her birth place was the old homestead right named Oak Point, where she has spent her entire lifetime and where her anged mother, who will greatly miss her companionship resides.

Besides the mother, aged 87 years, she leaves to mourn her passing, one sister, Mrs. Mary Epling, of California, two brothers Phineas, of Blair and Marshall who lives on the home place. A sister, Mrs. Craig Wright died a number of years ago.

About two months ago she fell and dislocated her knee and from that time her decline was rapid. She was patient and loving to the last and very appreciative of all that was done for her.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Methodist Church in this city, Rev. Underwood officiating.

Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
