Gary Drew Crabtree, age 68, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Indian Land, SC. He was born January 28, 1945 in Humboldt, TN, the son of the late Clint Wilson Crabtree and Olive Genrose Reasons Crabtree and was the husband of Mary Younce-Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree retired from Progress Energy, served our country in the United States Navy, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife, Mary Younce-Crabtree of the home, a daughter, Katherine Younce and her husband William of Indian Land, a step-daughter, Arlene Welsh and her husband Peter of Key West, FL, a step daughter-in-law, Nancy Wrisley of Deerfield, MA, 2 step-sons, Paul Wrisley, Jr. of Greenfield, MA and Steven Wrisley and his wife Pamela of Vero Beach, FL, 2 brothers, Rance Crabtree and his wife Dianne of Lake Wales, FL and Zane Crabtree and his wife Lourdes of Odessa, FL, 2 sisters, Diane Jacobs and her husband Alvin of Bluffton, SC and Faith Goins and her husband Charles of Lewisville, TN, 2 grandchildren, Bailee Drew Younce and Elizabeth Rylee Younce, and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Crabtree and a step-son, Edward Wrisley. The Family of Mr. Crabtree will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, Lancaster Co.
