This is a beautiful and isolated cemetery. Most of the stones were cut from local low grade limestone, and most are now badly weathered, broke, or unreadable. Even the cemetery fence posts are locally procured limestone pillars, and experiencing the classic limestone melt. I was not able to locate any name that came close. I did find one small part of a stone with what appeared to be an 1885, or maybe an 1896 date. It was so badly weathered that it was not impossible to tell. The area of the cemetery is located in an area of the county that would be extremely rural in the 1880's. The kind of stone prevalent in the cemetery strongly suggests most people were probably farmers, or working in limestone quarry profession, which was just beginning at this point in time in that area.
Best Regards.
