Survivors are, one daughter, Joan Woodard and her husband, Larry Sr., of Jacksonville; one grandchild, Larry Woodard Jr. and his wife, Staci, of Hoover; three great- grandchildren, Haugen, Lindsay and Ray Woodard; one sister, Mary Usher and her husband, Alex, of Hoover; three brothers, John Dison, Carl Dison and his wife, Joyce, James Dison and his wife, Charles Ann, all of Clay County. There are 20 nieces and nephews. Ms. Harrison is preceded in death by a son, Carl ?Kayo? Harrison; her former husband, Curtis Fowler Harrison; her parents, Miles Pierce and Letha Phillips Dison; four sisters, Berneese McRae, Kathleen Adair, Bessie Thompson, Martha Robinson, and one nephew. As all mothers do, she loved her children and her family and would never miss the two family gatherings, one at Christmas and the Annual Family/Community fish fry in Clay County every August. She was raised as a Christian who loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oxford. She was an avid gardener and sold day lilies, hostas and a variety of other flowers from her garden named "Margaret's Garden" in her latter years. She had numerous unusual palms growing in her yard and was a member of the Southeastern Palm Society. She enjoyed sewing and would stay up half the night sewing until her vision and health forced her to stop. When her health would let her, she visited her friends and neighbors and always enjoyed baking goodies and sharing with them. She retired from Anniston Sportwear as a Quality Control Inspector and formerly worked at Imperial Reading and GE in Oxford before they both closed. She graduated from Millerville High School and moved to Talladega to live with one of her sisters and find a job. Her first job was in support of WWII, by bagging and packaging gun powder for ammunition for our soldiers at the Brecon Ammunition Plant in Talladega. During this time she met her future husband and got married. He later was drafted and she continued to work there until the early fifties when she got a job with GE in Oxford and worked there until they closed. She then went to work at a sewing manufacturing plant in Talladega and later went to work at Imperial Reading in Oxford in 1966 and moved her family. She eventually purchased her home and immediately began to make flower beds and planting her flowers. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory Oxford, Ala.
