Following Betsy's death in 1833, he married Maria Seward 15 SEP 1834 in Middlesex County,CT and they had one child:
Ellen Elizabeth Coe (1835 - ) who married Owen Vincent Coffin.

On the four sides are carved his name as well as those of - Ellen Elizabeth Coffin, Seward Vincent Coffin, Jennie Elizabeth Coffin, Owen Vincent Coffin, Vincent Brown Coffin, and Mary Catherine Hitchcock Coffin.-per Charles Coe]
