Bobbie Cade Riser
Mrs. Walter Bennett Riser, the former Bobbie Cade, died Monday morning in the Hinds General Hospital, Jackson, after suffering a stroke Friday evening.
Mrs. Riser, 78, was a retired employee of the State Department of Public Welfare, and lived with her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Weaver, Vaiden.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Baldwin Funeral Home, Jackson; burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson.
The officiating ministers were Rev. Charles Gentry, pastor of Morrison Heights Baptist Church, Clinton, where she was a member, and Rev. John Allen Wade, pastor of Vaiden Baptist Church.
Mrs. Riser was a native of Attala County. She was married to Walter Bennett Riser, who died in 1964.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. A. Weaver, Vaiden; a sister, Mrs. Nell Snavley, West; a brother, Lloyd Cade, West; three granddaughters, Miss Charleen Weaver, Vaiden; Mrs. David Powell, Agona, Guam; and Miss Renee Weaver Gulfport; and a son-in-law Charlton A. Weaver, Vaiden.
