Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park for Henry M. Bauer, age 90 of Waite Park who passed away at his home on Friday surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Mark Innocenti will officiate. Burial with full military honors by the Waite Park American Legion Post #428 will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Henry Max Bauer was born on September 19, 1922 in Albany to the late George and Anna (Kraemer) Bauer. On July 9, 1947 he was united in marriage to Helen Mae Pearson in Brandon, MN. Henry was a carpenter by trade and retired from Champion Paper Company, Sartell in 1985. Throughout his life he enjoyed ice fishing, pheasant hunting, woodworking, country music concerts, socializing with friends over breakfast at the Cash Wise deli and also trips to the casinos. Henry was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, a lifetime member of the St. Cloud East Side VFW Post #4847, the Waite Park American Legion Post #428 and the St. Cloud Eagles Club.

Henry is survived by his loving wife Helen of 65 years; children, Jean (Kevin) Euteneuer of Waite Park, Sally Hilsgen of Sartell, Carol (Gordy) Midas of Big Lake, Betty (Jim) Habiger of St. Joseph, David Bauer of Waite Park, Mary (James) Kuebler of Dallas, TX; and Roger (Ginnie) Johnson of Blaine, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Jo; brothers, Alois, Dick, John, George II, Tony, Florian and Clarence; sisters, Louise Meier, Elenora Nelson, Celestine Reiling, Letty Maritsch, Monica Sadlowski, Babe Hoppe and Aggie Jesh.
