Born in Verbicaro, Italy on June 6, 1930, he passed from this life surrounded by love on April 11, 2013. In 1967 Ben moved from Italy to El Cerrito with his wife and two young daughters. He worked at Channel Lumber Co for 30 yrs were he made many life long friends. He was a long time member of the Fratellanza Club.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed traveling to Italy and was an avid gardener.
Ben was a gentle and loving man with the most amazing blue eyes. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Maria G.; daughters Teresa Nicoletti and Rosetta (Michael) Downey; grandchildren Michael (Katie), and Christopher Nicoletti, Gabriella, Rebecca and Michael Downey, and his eagerly anticipated great-granddaughter due in July; brothers Mario (Brenda) and Guido (Yolanda) Addiego; sister Mary (John) Ciarabellini, and sister in law Francesca Addiego. Preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Teresa Addiego; brother Giuseppe Addiego, and sister and brother in law, Grazia and Giuseppe Dito.
Rosary will be on Monday, April 15th at 7:00 p.m. St Jerome's Church, 308 Carmel Ave, El Cerrito.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 16th at 10:30 am, St Jerome's Church.
Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery in San Pablo.
In lieu on flowers donations may be made in his name to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society .
