She was born in Aurora, Ilinois on July 13, 1940 the daughter of Eugene and Florence Thill. Marlene and her husband Melvin Eugene enjoyed the last 14 yrs of her life living in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin. It was there that she fell in love with the outdoors, the wildlife, and long country drives. She enjoyed baking, crafts, and sewing, but above all things she enjoyed her family and the holidays, she adored her children and grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her husband Melvin Eugene of 47 glorious years, her children Dawn (Ralph) Stegall, Starlene ( Patrick) Kelley, Teresa (Ken) Wedeen and Heather (Rob) Wagner, step-daughters Pam Jorgensen and Evaughn (Joe) Hackett, daughter-in-law Dawn Hatcher, grandchildren, Erica, Joseph, Kristina, Jennifer, Melissa, Justin, Ben, Ryan, Jim and Leon and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Donald (Christine) Thill, Margaret (Jack) Schomer, Richard (Emily) Thill, and Michael Thill and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Eric D. Stewart and grandchildren Kelly, Connor, Matthew, and Abby. Funeral service was on Saturday, February 25th at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park.
