"A wide circle of friends in Coleman County mourns the passing of Charles M. Fain, whose death occurred in Abilene Saturday night. For many years, he conducted a mercantile business in Coleman. Only a few months ago he moved from his farm near Silver Valley to Abilene for the purpose of educating his four children, whose faithful mother preceded him in death. Charles Fain was a member of the Methodist Church, holding stewardship in the local congregation. Rev. M.K. Little, the local pastor, officiated the services, the remains being laid to rest in the Coleman Cemetery, beside the father, mother, and wife, who preceded him to the grave. Relatives from a distance came to Coleman to attend the funeral - John A. Fain, Mrs. J.F. Evans, Mrs. G.A. Brown, Mrs. A.B. Reading, W.H. Davis, Mrs. Grea Cozza, Miss Irene Cozzo."
