Services for Mrs. Robert H. Wendt, 84, of 2383 29th St. Moline, who died yesterday morning in Graham Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa, after a brief illness, will be at 2 Monday in Wendt Bros. Funeral Home, Moline. Rev. Charles Hollis of Moline Gospel Temple will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 tomorrow in the funeral home. Grace May Ashdown was born in Hillsdale and was married to Mr. Wendt June 10, 1907, in Port Byron. The couple moved to Moline from Port Byron in 1949. Mr. Wendt was a funeral director in Port Byron, retiring in 1947. A life resident of this area, Mrs. Wendt had been a Sunday school teacher for 68 years, teaching in the Port Byron Methodist Church and in the Moline Gospel Temple. Surviving are the widower; a daughter, Rev. Mrs. Dale Oliver of Keokuk, two granddaughters and two great - grandchildren, a brother, Edward Ashdown of Chicago Heights, and a sister, Genevieve Ashdown of Moline.
