~Ruth Richards Robeson~

Mrs. Ruth Richards Robeson, 65, of Merry Point, Newport News, Virginia, died Monday, June 18, 1962 at her home.

She was the wife of former Representative Edward John Robeson, Jr. of the First Virginia District.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Burrell and Ruth (Curtis) Richards and was born in Thomson, Georgia.

She was a graduate of La Grange College, La Grange, Georgia. She was a member of Noland Memorial Methodist Church where she was active in church affairs for many years.

Surviving are her husband, three daughters, a son, thirteen grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, June 19, 1962 at 11 a.m. in Peninsula Funeral Home.

Burial was at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 1962 in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesville, North Carolina.
