Deceased was born February 1st, 1859, in Sweden and emigrated to this country from Yuttersburg on May 9th, 1879, coming direct to Chicago. On March 31, 1885, he was married to Miss Anna Palm in Illinois and they came to Waseca county, locating in Otisco. To them were born eight children, seven of whom survive, namely: Miss Olga and Rueben at home; Mrs. Manley Storey, Breckenridge; Mrs. C. A. Peterson, Elk River; Mrs. Harry Wood of Waseca, Arthur of Rapid City, S.D. and Elmer of Waterloo, Iowa. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emil Carlson of Waseca and Mrs. Ekdahl of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and nine grandchildren. All the children but Arthur were present in Waseca for the funeral. Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Storey, in Breckenridge Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. F. W. Hill officiating and then the remains were taken to the train for transportation to Waseca.
