Farr, John W. age 91 of Knoxville passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at his home. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in WWII on the U.S.S. Quincy. Preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Pauline Farr; wife, Dicie Farr; daughters, Lois Lane and Ann Cowden; brothers, Carl Farr and Clyde Farr. Survived by his nephew, Tony Gentry and fiancée, Connie Smith; grandson, John Cowden.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Highland South Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Highland South Funeral Home with interment to follow in Highland South Memorial Park
