East Haven Register by Rev Stephen Dodd pub 1824- Samuel's parents were Thomas Smith 1st & Elizabeth Patterson, the only child of Edward & Elizabeth Patterson. Samuel was their 9th child b. May 24, 1681. Married Anna, Dec 30 1708, da. Eleazer & Ann (Osborn) Morris. They had-

Feb 2023 -suggested edit: There were [at least] 2 Samuel Smith s born about the same time and died about the same time - researchers are mixing them up --- Samuel #1 was born 24 Mar 1681 in New Haven, Connecticut and died 6 Jan 1765 - married 1st Ann Morris and 2nd Sarah Pardee widow of John Thompson [see FAG # 108043373]----- Samuel # 2 was born abt 1682 in Norwalk, Connecticut and died 20 Jan 1764 - married 1st Sarah UNK (may have married 2nd Sara UNK) [see FAG # 9080040]
