Ann Griner Winskie Sherrod

Ellabell-Mrs. Ann Griner Winskie Sherrod, 63, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Mrs. Ann was born in Savannah to the late Martin & Edith Griner. She was a loving mother and "Granny" as well as a beloved teacher. She lived in Pooler for many years and was a member of the Pooler First Baptist Church where she taught the Ladies Sunday School Class for many years. She taught math at Calvary for 36 years and at Wilder Middle School for 1 year. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Melanie & Bart Crowe, Amanda Harrison and Malerie Sherrod; grandchildren, Talara Crowe, Cooper Harrison and Isabella Crowe; "older" sister, Jan Griner; brother and sister-in-law, Earl & Rebecca Griner; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and grand-puppies, Honey & Muffin. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Ann. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Pooler First Baptist Church located at 204 W. Hwy. 80. The burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
