ANOTHER PIONEER ANSWERED CALL

Mrs. Martha Ferrenburg Who Died Monday Night Was a Native of Ballville
Mrs. Martha Ferrenburg, 77, an esteemed and respected pioneer resident, died Monday evening at 6:45 at her home, 121 Wilson avenue. Death was due to heart trouble and complications. Her condition had been critical for a week. Mrs. Ferrenburg had practically been an invalid for the past nine years following a fall in which she sustained a fracture of the hip. She suffered severely with rheumatism during that period and the rheumatism affected her seriously. She became ill a week ago Monday with what was believed to be a slight cold but the condition became critical within a short time and steadily grew worse.
The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 7:30 from the house. Rev. J. B. Weygandt, pastor of the St. Mark's Lutheran church, will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.
The daughter of Cornelius and Mary Hufford, Mrs. Ferrenburg was born in Ballville township on December 14, 1845. She was united in marriage to Elliot Ferrenburg on April 15, 1873 in Fremont. They resided in Sandusky county near Fremont and later near Gibsonburg until 23 years ago when they located near Shepherd. They resided in Michigan until six years ago. Mr. Ferrenburg died in Toledo six years ago and following his death the widow came to Fremont where she had since resided.
One son, Ralph, and three daughters, Mabel, at home, Mrs. Blanche Ferrenberg, of Toledo, and Mrs. Perl Strong, of Lansing, Mich., survive as well as two sisters. Mrs. James Emerson, Fremont; and Mrs. Norton Rathbun, of Green Springs, two grandchildren, Merle Ferrenberg, Toledo, and Truba Strong of Lansing, Mich., as well as other relatives and many friends.
