Resided: Hamilton, NJ.

Betty May Reid Fisher, 77, of Hamilton passed away Saturday after a brief illness.

Mrs. Fisher was born in Trenton and lived in Englishtown, NJ for several years before moving to Hamilton in 1967. She was a resident of the Hamilton Township Senior Citizens' Towers since 1989. Betty retired from Delaval Turbine in 1988 after twenty years of secretarial service.

She was a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church on Johnston Avenue and in more recent years attended Lutheran Church of the Resurrection on Nottingham Way.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Alexander Fisher in 1967.

Oldest child of the late John L. and Emma May Cochran Reid, and sister of the late Fern Reid Bainbridge and Robert Reid, she is survived by her sister Gerrie Wehner of Hamilton, and four brothers and sisters-in-law including George C. and Volosta Reid of Hamilton, Raymond and Ruth Reid of Yardville, John and Kathy Reid of Robbinsville and William and Patty Reid of Levittown, PA.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes three sons and daughters-in-law, John H. and Linda Downs Fisher of Doylestown, PA, Albert A. and Karen Downs Fisher of Hamilton and Mark T. and Laurie VanSant Fisher of Mercerville. Betty was a loving and proud grandmother to seven grandchildren including Jason, Casey, Kyle, Scott, Clint, Tyler and Brynna Fisher, and leaves behind several nieces, nephews and her dearest friend, Mary "Tina" Cavanaugh.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square with Rev. Russell A. Gromest officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and again Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Colonial Home.

Contributions may be made in Mrs. Fisher's memory to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 4315 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
