The family lived in Medford, the Applegate Valley, Ashland, and in Astoria. She lived in Pasadena, Calif., and sang in a church choir on early television in Los Angeles.
On May 13, 1963, she married Clifford Aldrich while living in Medford. She worked in restaurants in the Rogue Valley and later, with her niece, operated the Coachman Cafeteria at the old Greyhound Bus Terminal on Bartlett Street during the late sixties and early seventies. Millie and Cliff operated two floral shops. Millie's Florist and Christmas Shoppe operated in the Rogue Valley Mall from the 1980s until her retirement in the mid nineties. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was very involved in the fellowship and music ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; sister, Evelyn Walker; and brothers, Delton, Clancy, Jim, and Mel Johnson.
A special thanks from the family to Rene Adams who lovingly cared for Millie her last seven years of her life at Countrywood Adult Foster Care. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 17, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Medford, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 649 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford, OR, 97504.
