"Together Again"

Barbara Emma Brown Wachs passed away April 3, 2013 of a broken heart and the ravaging effects of PSP. She was born May 24, 1943 to Ben Mervin Brown and Emma Fullmer Brown in Salt Lake City. She grew up in Murray and never left except for the three years she spent at BYU. She married Robert George Wachs on September 3, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were rarely apart over the last few years and she began a rapid decline after he passed away November 25th, 2012.

Barbara was very talented and never shied away from learning a new craft or developing another talent. She loved to tole paint, and her home and cabin are filled with beautiful pieces that she created. She also made amazing porcelain dolls. She was the owner of Exclusive Wedding Cakes for over 35 years and designed many cakes that could only be called great works of art.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Russell), Julie, David and Ron; her sister, Susan (Jerry); 9 grandchildren; and her faithful companion, Emmie, who never left her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob; her parents; brothers, Richard and Delbert; and sister-in-law, Joan.

The family would like to thank the Hospice nurses and aides, especially Jamie and Leslie, for the wonderful care they gave both our parents over the last 5 months. You are truly angels!

"Thank you, Ronnie, for taking such good care of Mom!"

A viewing will be held Sunday April 7th, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. Funeral services will be at the Murray 12th Ward Vine Street Chapel, 363 East Vine St., Monday, April 8th at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
