CROSBY — Elaine Hudrlik, age 87, of Crosby, died peacefully on April 3, 2013, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Jan. 28, 1926, in Minneapolis to Allan and Ethelyn (Brown) Anderson. Elaine grew up in Carp and attended the Baudette High School. She married Tony Hudrlik in 1947 and moved to Crosby in 1948. She worked for many years at Hudrlik Carpet. Elaine was and active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby and the CCW. She enjoyed sewing sleeping bags for the homeless on Wednesdays.
She will always be remembered for her generosity, her feisty spirit and her great sense of humor.
Survivors include son, Mark (Kolly) Hudrlik, of Ironton; daughters, Mary Jo (Rich) Ryan, of Woodbury, Lila (Kevin) Kelly, of Roseville, Malinda (Tom Griffith), of Eagan; son-in-law, Bob Cash, of St. Mathias; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Tony; daughter, Ada Cash; brother, Wes Anderson; and a sister, Genevieve Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.
