LETT, WANDA SUE CAREY age 70, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2008. She was a member of City View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Hugh L. Lett; parents Frank and Alice Phillips Carey; brother the Rev. W. T. Carey; brother-in-law R. L. Maples; and nephew Frank Carey. She is survived by her devoted sister June Carey Maples; brother Floyd D. Carey and wife Sue; sister-in-law LaVerne Carey; niece Rebecca Carey; niece Judy Maples Evans, husband Tony Evans, and daughters Valerie McCall and husband Scott, Melissa Godbehere and husband Eric, and Amanda Evans; niece Vickie Maples Kennedy, husband Rick Kennedy, and son Christopher; niece Donna Carey; niece Allison Carey, husband Walter Squire, and son Dashiell; and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Thanks go to special friends LaVerne Marcum, Faye Anderson, and Vickie Cheesman for their many kindnesses. She will be missed greatly by her many friends and family. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, inside the main entrance of New Gray Cemetery on Western Avenue for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with the Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, One Vantage Way, Ste. B-130, Nashville, TN 37228.
