LETT, HUGH L. age 79, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord April 23, 2008. He was a retiree of the Knoxville Utilities Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Lillian Stinnett Lett; brothers, Brud Lett and Buster Lett; and sister, Ruth Miller. Mr. Lett is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue Carey Lett; devoted sister-in-law, June Carey Maples; sister, Elizabeth Swan; brothers, Junior Lett and Paul Lett; daughter, Mary Beth Tipton and husband, Charles; special granddaughter, Haley Tipton all of Knoxville; son, David Lett of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to LaVerne Marcum and Vickie Cheesman for their many kindnesses. Family and friends will meet at New Gray Cemetery Saturday by 1:45 P.M. for a 2:00 P.M. graveside service with Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, One Vantage Way, Ste. B-130, Nashville, TN 37228.
