Scott City--Ray N. Walden, 68 years old, died at his home here early this morning of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Walden, a retired Cotton Belt brakeman, was a member of the United Transportation Union and Broadway Methodist Church in Scott City.
He was born March 26, 1902, at Gray Ridge. On Dec. 26, 1926, he was married to the former Miss Nell English, who survives.
Other survivors include two brothers, Chester and Roy Walden, both of East Prairie, and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Metheny of Cairo, Ill. and Mrs. Ralph Chunn of Fort Worth, Tex.
The body is at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Illmo where arrangements are incomplete.

Scott City--Funeral services for Ray N. Walden, 68 years old, were conducted this afternoon at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Illmo with the Rev. Earl Kearbey, pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church here, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Lester F. Bain, pastor of the Iona Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Morgan English, Ray Metheny, Ralph Chunn, Raymond Skagg, J.W. Stanfield Jr., and Don Heuer.
Burial was in Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.
Mr. Walden died at his home here early Monday morning.
