Joseph Gadonniex

Joseph Gadonniex of 35 Slocum
Avenue, who was employed by the
Department of Public Works for 24
years until his retirement in March,
1939. died yesterday at St. John's
Riverside Hospital after a month's
illness.
Born In Louisiana on Nov. 11,
1876, Mr. Gadonniex was the son of
the late Joseph and Pauline Gadonniex.
He came to New York City
in 1892 and was employed in the
Department of Sanitation there for
14 years before coming to Yonkers
in 1910.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Regina Fiesel Gadonniex, a daughter,
Mrs. John Young of Yonkers,
five sons, Harold, Irving, Joseph,
Paul and John Gadonneix, and nine
grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday
at 9:30 A. M. from the Fennell
Funeral Home, 136 Ashbuxton Avenue,
with a requiem mass at 10
o'clock at the Church of St. John
the Baptist. Interment will be at
St. Joseph's Cemetery
