"SAULNIER - On February 2, Napoleon Saulnier, aged 80 years. The relatives and friends of the family, also Moccsco Tribe No, 34, Imp. O. of R. M., are respectfully invitee 5to at ten the funeral services, on Friday, at 2 o'clock, at his late residence, 1416 North Twenty-second street. Interment private."

History of Pennsylvania Volunteers 1861-1865 says Napoleon Saulnier enlisted in Company C, Pennsylvania 9th Cavalry Regiment on 23 Nov 1861.
Promoted to Full Hospital Steward.
Mustered out on 24 Dec 1864.
