∼Ileene Marie Kibbe, 80, of Asheville, North Carolina passed away Saturday, March 25, 2013 at her residence.
She is preceded in death by her father William Edward “Tinker” Jesseph; mother, Alma May Jesseph, step-mother, Margaret Harrington Glantz Jesseph; husband, Melvin G. Kibbe; brother, Charles Jesseph; and step-sister, Judy Bennett.
She was an alumnus of Dexter High School class of 1951 and graduated as a Junior Accountant from American Business College in the class of 1953. Ileene held various bookkeeping jobs throughout her career until her retirement from Schlage Lock Company in 1992. Ileene was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville.
Ileene is survived by her son, Marlin Kibbe (Tina) of Candler, NC; daughter, Terri Kibbe-Smith of Asheville, NC; brother, Wilbur A Jesseph of Conway Springs, KS; sister, Shirley Stansbury (Ralph) of Argonia, KS;; step-siblings, Robert Glantz and Connie Wacker (Don), all of Winfield, KS; step-children, Mark Kibbe of Clearwater, KS, Vicky Sunderland (Dan), of Independence, MO, Lynda Maxted (Craig), of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Darrin and Haleigh Smith both of Lakewood, WA, Erica Behrendt (Tim) of Vista, CA; step-grandchildren, Heather, Sullivan, Carrie Heard, Caleb Maxted, Joshua Hargrave, Matthew Hargrave, Zachariah Hargrave, Lilli Sunderland, Kenneth Sunderland, and step-great grandchildren, Caden, Lane, Noah, Keaton, and Bryan, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Rash and Rev. Donnie Walker officiating.
