Eunice V. Nelson, 91, formerly of Jaffrey, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass after a period of failing health.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Cambridge, Mass on May 10, 1920, the daughter of Albert E. and Etta (Merriam) Cole. She was a 1939 graduate of Revere High School in Revere, Mass and had attended Burdett College in Boston.
She was superintendent of the pre-school children and the junior choir director in the churches pastored by her husband, Rev. Roy E. Nelson, over the 42 year period of his ministry.
She retired in 1981 with her husband to Jaffrey, New Hampshire, where they became very active in several of the churches in the Monadnock Region.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Roy E. Nelson on October 14, 1995.
Cemetery:
Burial will be in Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey at the convenience of the family.
