Robie P. Crouse -
The death of Robie Parker Crouse, of Torbrook Mines, occurred in Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax, on Thursday, March 20th, ending a long period of illness. Born in Nictaux Falls 65 years ago, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Crouse. He was a veteran of the first World War having served with the Canadian Army. Surviving are two brothers and three sisters: Aubrey and Charles Crouse, of Torbrook Mines: Mrs. Annie Morse, of Nictaux West; Mrs. K.R. Barteaux, of Westboro, Mass. and Mrs. Clayton MacMaster, of Kingston. Funeral was held from the Torbrook Mines United Church conducted by Rev. H.S. Bird, with interment in the cemetery at Torbrook Mines. Members of the Canadian Legions of Middleton and Kingston had charge of the service at the cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chester Morse, Carl Lightfoot, Earl Balser, Frank West, Victor Annis and Cecil Uhlman.
