Iowa Grigsby, of Del Rio, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. She was the last founding member of Round Mountain Baptist Church and retired from the Del Rio School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lurlie Grigsby; son, Everette Grigsby; sisters, Eva Green, Pauline KuyKendall, Emily Reece, Mary Lou Lord; brothers, George Willis and Everette Willis.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Becky) Grigsby of Del Rio; sisters, Louetta Payne of South Carolina, daughter in law Martha Grigsby Holt of Newport; grandchildren, Jeff (Vonda) Grigsby of Del Rio, Marty (Tanya) Grigsby of Dandridge, Justin Grigsby of Newport; great grandchildren, Brandon Grigsby and Brittany Grigsby both of Dandridge. Former daughter in law Denise Ball.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Mulberry Gap Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
