Reid attended Providence High School in Charlotte, and later attended and graduated from Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ in 2007.

During his middle school and high school days, Reid was an accomplished athlete in many sports such as baseball and football, but his true passion was wrestling. He was a fourteen time USA and AAU State Champion and a four time National Champion in amateur wrestling.

Throughout 2008, Reid was trained by former world champion, Harley Race. He made his wrestling debut on December 6, 2008, under the name "Reid Flair", teaming with his elder brother David, to defeat The Nasty Boys in Charlotte, NC, with Hulk Hogan as the special guest referee. Since then, he has wrestled for many independent promotions throughout the southeast.

In early 2013, Reid began training with All Japan Professional Wrestling. Reid made his in-ring debut for All Japan on January 26, 2013, when he replaced his father in a tag team match. On March 15th, Reid wrestled his first singles match for All Japan, submitting Yasufumi Nakanoue with the Figure Four Leglock. Reid returned to the United States following his last match for All Japan on March 17, 2013.

Above all else, Reid was a kind, gentle and loving young man. He had a heart of gold and always pulled for the underdog. Children and animals were drawn to his loving spirit.
