Jacob [Jack] Neils, 61, of 100 Riverdale Ave., died yesterday at St. John's Riverside Hospital after a brief illness. Born Jul 2, 1908, in Yonkers, a son of Adam and Elizabeth Rollwagon Neils, Mr. Neils was educated in Yonkers schools and on Nov. 24, 1945, married the former Evelyn Fragnano at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Neils survives.

A chauffeur for the Art-Wart Box Co., of Yonkers, Mr. Neils was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs and Warehousemen, Local 27. He was also an assistant fire chief of the Yonkers auxiliary fire force for 27 years.

A veteran of World War Mr. Neils served from 1943 to 1945 as a corporal with the 410th Army Air Force Base. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by a son, Gerald R. Neils of Yonkers; a daughter, Miss Carole R. Neils of the home address; three brothers, Phillip of Danbury, Conn; Adam of Akros, Ohio, and William of Brewster and two sisters, Miss Fredia Neils of Yonkers and Mrs. Charles [Elizabeth] Waldon, of Yonkers.
