From Find a Grave Contributor 47690157:

Mrs. Lewis C. Reynolds, one of Roger Mills County's earliest settlers passed from this life last Sunday at the family home in the Roll community. She came to this county with her husband twenty-one years ago. Mr. and Mrs.Reynolds were among the leaders in the development of our country, and had a wide acquaintanceship, and were highly respected by all.

Ella Wickersham was born in Logan County, Ohio, June 23, 1855. At the age of twenty-two she was married to Lewis C.Reynolds at Monticello, Indiana. To this union were born seven sons and daughters who are Mrs. Gertrude Gray, Manitou, Colorado; Mrs. Roy Gilbert of Apache, Oklahoma; Mrs. Harry Philips of Houston, Texas; J.A. Reynolds of Crawford, Oklahoma; Lee Reynolds of Oklahoma City; Fran
R. Reynolds and Miss Capitola Reynolds, both of Crawford. All of these were at her bedside at the time of her death except Mrs. Gilbert and Lee who had been here and left few days prior. Mrs. Reynolds' death was the first in the
immediate family. A nephew and a niece, Mr. Edward Young and Mrs. F.B. Stewart of Kansas who were almost as her own children were present at the funeral arriving while the funeral was in progress. When a young woman she professed faith in Christ and united with the Presbyerian
Church at Bedford, Indiana. From that time to her death she was faithful to her profession and to her church. The quality of her life as a follower of Jesus will be long remembered by her loved ones and her many friends.

The funeral services were conducted at the family home Monday afternoon by Rev. E.E. Grimes in the presence of a large assemblage of friends from various portions of the county, the Presbyterian congregation of Cheyenne were present in a body. After the funeral the body was carried to the Roll cemetery (Silent Home), Roll,Oklahoma and laid to rest to await the resurrection. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the sorrow stricken family in its hour of the
grief.
