WAGNER, Ida Naomi, 93 years old passed away April 3, 2005 in Tucson, AZ. Mrs. Wagner was a resident of Arizona for 92 years.

Survived by daughter, Jo Ann Wilhite (Keith) of San Diego, CA; son, Ken Wagner (Suzanne) of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Minnie Williams of Tucson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 200 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. with burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 100 p.m. till service time. Reverend Robin Hoover of First Christian Church officiating.

Family suggest memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1730 E. River Rd., Suite 107, Tucson, AZ 85718.

Ida N. Wagner
1911 - 2005

Ida Wagner of Benson and Tucson passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005.

Ida, 93, was born Ida Naomi Williams, in Silver City, N.M., on May 17, 1911, and moved to Benson in 1912. Her parents, W.E. and Effie Williams, homesteaded the Circle Bar Ranch in the foothills of the Whetstones, southwest of Benson, in 1916, and maintained that family cattle operation until approximately 1980.

Along with six brothers and sisters, Ida attended school in Benson. She also attended a small one-room schoolhouse at Miramonte, west of Benson. She was voted "Miss Benson of 1929." Ida worked for the Tucson Telephone Office after she graduated from high school.

She married Fred Wagner in 1930, and raised their family in Tucson, where Fred worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years. Upon retirement, they built their retirement home at the Circle Bar Ranch. They enjoyed nearly 62 years together.

Since 1999, Ida has been a resident of the Catalina Vista Care Home in Tucson.

Ida is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Wilhite (Keith) of El Cajon, Calif. and son, Ken Wagner (Suzanne) of Scottsdale, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Minnie Williams of Tucson.

Services are Saturday, April 9, at South Lawn Mortuary, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson. The viewing will be at 1 p.m., with the services at 2 p.m. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent in memory of Ida to Odyssee Hospice in Tucson, 1730 E. River Rd., St.107, 85718.
