His biological siblings were: Russell L Sperry, William A Sperry, Hubert A "Jim" Sperry, Velma I Sperry, and Virgil E Sperry. Lester also had two sisters who died before he was born, Wilma L Sperry (7, typhoid), and Opal M Sperry (4, influenza).

Lester L. Dikis, 70, of Perryville, Mo. died October 22, 1987 at his residence.
He was born March 23, 1917 in Waverly, son of Walter B. and Cora Brown Dikis Nortrup.
Lester graduated from WTHS in the class of 1935. He married Ruth Curtiss Dec.4, 1937 and they were he parents of two children, Lester Curtiss Dikis, now of Prior Lake, Minn. and a daughter, Ruth Ann Dikis of Waterford, Conn.
His second wife, Vivian Pryor, who he married in June, 1980, and his father, Jack Dikis, both preceded him in death.
Mr. Dikis was a member of Perry County Senior Citizens Organization and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville, Mo., with the Rev. Randy Fullerton officiating.
Interment was in the East Cemetery in Waverly.
