Tina Marcella Griggs Curry Baumbach was born to Charlene Griggs June 6, 1959. She died Sunday, June 22, at the Lovewell Lake at the age of 31 years, 1 month and 16 days.
She was adopted by Ethel Clair at the age of three months. Mrs. Baumbach lived most of her life in Columbus, Ohio, which is where she received her formal education.
She married Fred Curry in 1976. The family of four, including children, Phillip, Patric and Marilyn, moved to Kansas in 1983. While living in Jewell, she persued (sic) a career in nursing by attending the nursing program at North Central Kansas Vocational Technical School, Beloit, from 1987 to 1989.
She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Baumbach July 14, 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; two sons, Phillip and Patric, and daughter, Marilyn, all of the home; mother, Ethel Clair, Jewell; brothers, Joe Black of Columbus, Ohio, and Benjamin Black of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Isabelle McConnel of North Platte and Mona Whitley, Yuma, Ariz.; great grandmother, Florence Steele, Jewell; and many other relatives.
The funeral was Wednesday, July 25, at 2 p.m., from the Christian Church, Jewell, with Pastor Scott Moffat and Pastor Ken Fairbrother officiating. Interment was in the Rusco Cemetery near Clifton, Kan. Kramer Funeral Home, Mankato, was in charge of the arrangements.
