STAYTON — Ardys Kimsey, 80, died Monday.
She was born in Salem and moved to Mehama in 1923 and to Stayton in 1939. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Santiam Historical Society and enjoyed canning, sewing and painting.
Survivors include her husband, Tex, whom she married in 1939; sons, Warren of Stayton and Terry of Renton, Wash.; daughter, Rebecca Kimsey of Ottawa, Ontario; brother, Orval Landers of Lyons; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held later. Interment will be at Fox Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are by Weddle Funeral Home.
