Beloved husband, father (in-law), brother and grandfather, James Rumsey Crenshaw died peacefully April 7, 2006. He was 85. Jim was born in Orlando, Florida on December 20, 1920.
While attending the University of Florida he enlisted in the U.S. Navy to serve in World War II. For his actions as a torpedo plane pilot in the first Battle of the Philippine Sea he was awarded the Navy Cross. After the war Jim and Janet settled in the Seattle area where he owned Marine Lumber Service for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet; his son, Michael; daughter, Karen; daughter-in-law, Mary Brodd; son-in-law, Michael Thorp; sister, Josephine Archer (Fort Myers, FL) and grandchildren, Molly and Jeffrey Crenshaw. It was Jim's wish that no service be held. Remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.
