Lester E. Wulf, 90
Lester E. Wulf, 90, of Blair, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.
Lester E. Wulf was born Jan. 30, 1917, in rural Blair to Christian D. and Frieda Marie (Kerstein) Wulf. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army from 1943 to 1945.
On Sept. 14, 1946, he married Dorothy J. Oleson in Fredsville, Iowa.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Farm Bureau, Riverview Grange, the Blair VFW, and a member of the District No. 52 School Board. He lived in the Blair area all his life, where he farmed until 1982.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eldon and Rebecca Wulf of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Vernon Nemitz of Omaha, and Julie and Rick Isham of Blair; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Behrendt of Omaha; sisters-in-law Laura Siemens, and Marjorie Wulf; and numberous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Erdine Rasmussen; and brothers Norman and Marvin Wulf.
Memorials are suggested to the First Lutheran Church, Crowell Home, or the Blair Rescue Squad.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
