Patricia "Trish" Kowalski, 52, of Grand Island died Friday, March 22, 2013, at home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a family prayer service at 10:15. The Rev. Jack Gillam will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home
of Grand Island is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kowalski was born on April 20, 1960, at Beaumont, Texas, to Jerry and Glenna (Myers) Will.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Kowalski Jr., on Dec. 8, 2003.
Survivors of the immediate family include three sons, Alvin Kowalski III and his fiance, Meghann Uden, Cole Kowalski and Arron Kowalski, all of Grand Island; a daughter, Katy Kowalski of Grand Island; a brother and his family from Texas; and a brother-in-law, Randy Kowalski of Grand Island.
Trish grew up and received her education in Port Acres, Texas. In the early 1980s, Trish moved to Grand Island where she met Alvin Kowalski, Jr.
Trish and Alvin were married on Sept. 6, 1987, on the Kowalski family farm, where they eventually made their home. Trish worked at the Saddle Club for 20 years. She loved the outdoors, spending time on the farm and most of all attending the school events of her children.
She had a big heart with an outgoing personality that touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a loving and caring mother and also was an exceptional cook.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
