Vincent C. Jackson
Mr. Vincent C. Jackson, 84, of Madison, died April 4, 1999 at W.F Bond Home in Madison of heart failure. Born November 11, 1914 in Macon, he was a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII. He was also the owner of Jackson's 5 & 10 Store for 35 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bernice Stowers Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 6 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Baines officiating. Burial was in the Salem Methodist Cemetery in Macon.
He is survived by a son, Vincent C. Jackson, Jr. of Ridgeland; a daughter-in-law: Paula Jackson; two sisters, Kathleen Bateman of Leeds, Ala. and Judy Wilson of Ridgeland; a brother, Otey S. Jackson, Jr. of Macon; and a score of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Wiley Prewitt, George Harris, Jr., Jack Forbus, Bob Forbus and Dallas Nash.
Memorials may be made to Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona or the Home Place, P.O. Box 720, Madison, M.S.
Lee Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
