Husband of Elaine Adams m. July 15, 1967 at Mineral Wells, Texas.
Raised in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois he was graduated from University High School with the class of 1965. He played basketball and football and was in Latin Club and a Thespian. After one year of studies at Illinois State University he entered the Army on December 1, 1966. As he received top scores in his training as an Army Warrant Officer, he was able to train as a Cobra helicopter pilot. Just four months after his tour in Vietnam began, it was over when the helicopter on which he was a crew member crashed on land in Vietnam.

His entry on the Wall in Washington, D.C. is on Panel 44W- Row 049. In addition to his parents he was survived by two brothers: Gary, in the US Air Force and James who was still at home.
