Agnes (Kimbrell) Bishop, 86, of Chesnee, SC, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the home of her daughter.
She was the widow of Rev. Vernon William Bishop and the daughter of the late Luther Kimbrell and Florence (Hughes) Kimbrell.
She was a wonderful mother. Rev. and Mrs. Bishop served the following churches; Love Springs Baptist Church of Cowpens, Fairview Baptist Church of Spartanburg, Hicks Grove Baptist Church of Rutherford, Concord Baptist Church of Bostic, NC; Cherokee Falls Baptist Church of SC, Northside Baptist Church of Gaffney, Mtn. View Baptist Church of Rutherfordton, NC; Bethesda Baptist Church of Pacolet and associate at Rock Hill of Inman and Buck Creek Baptist of Chesnee.
She is survived by one daughter, Estelline Coyle of Gaffney, three sons; Ray T. Bishop of Spartanburg, Dr. William L. Bishop of Chesnee, James Harold "Jim" Bishop of Forest City, NC, and by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 2, 2005, at 3:00 p.m., at Buck Creek Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Odell Mosley and Dr. Wofford Caughman. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Bishop, Ricky Bishop, Terry Bishop, Edward Bishop, Glen Colye, Lee Colye, Brian Bishop, and Jay Bishop.
