Charles Albert Winters
Mr. Charles Albert (Buddy) Winters, 59, of Greenwood, died at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of Pneumonia.
Born in Sledge, he was a resident of Greenwood most of his life. He was an employee of the Leflore Unit System for over 25 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 11 at Williams & Lord Chapel with Rev. Robert Ingram officiating. Burial was in the Smith Cemetery in Cascilla.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Louise Winters of Greenwood; two sons, Charles A Winters, Jr. of Holcomb and Mike Winters of Greenwood; three daughters, Mary Ray of Crueger, Sue Winters of Teoc and Cindy Winters of Greenwood; four brothers, Lee Winters of Dekalb, Ill., George Winters and Joe Winters, both of Big Creek; and Jimmy Winters of Memphis, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Troy Winters, Jeremy Winters, Chris Goss, Jamie Winters, James Carson Winters, and Henry Phillips.
Honorary Pallbearers were Carl Slaughter, William (Rocky) Sullivan, Freddy Davenport, Harold Upchurch, James Hodges, Bobo Mitchell and Employees of Leflore Co. Unit System.
Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
